When do you start using cocoa butter to prevent the stretch marks?
I'm only 2 months pregnant now, but i want to be as ready as possible for the whole pregnancy... including my belly's physical appearance :p I would like to avoid stretch marks if possible and i heard that Cocoa butter works pretty well, but when do you start rubbing it on? Now while my tummy's still flat? Or only when the tummy starts showing?
Also, is there anything else that would work better?

just start now, it wont hurt anything.
asap. i would say just keep it elastic and stretchy already
Start quick and do it 3 times a day when ever you can, you might not even get any but the more you use the easier your skin wil stretch.
Palmers Stretch Mark cream works the best. You can find it at your local drugstore for about $ 7.
I am 6 weeks and Im using it now…just in case :)
Good luck!
I’d start right away, it might help a little but if your gonna get them, your gonna get them
you should start around like four months while your belly is growing you may not see the stretch marks but trust me after you give birth they show a whole lot more so i advice u rub rub rub that lotion evry single day
i would use baby oil it works for the babies stretch marks
Nothing prevents stretch marks. The creams only help with the itching. You can get stretch marks without scratching. If your gonna get them, there is nothing you can do to prevent it.
start taking it now so you get in the habit. vitamin E works good to so anything with that in it will be good to prevent stretch marks! good luck!
Congrats. I started using oil when I was 3 months. Bio Oil is good.
I used it with both of my kids starting from when I found out I was pregnant. It works really well. I only got 3 very small stretch marks at the bottom of my belly for the 1st pregnancy and only a few more with the second and then they went away a few months after having the baby. I love that stuff. I massaged it all over my belly 2-3 times a day.
It does not matter what you put on your belly to ward off stretch marks….it is dependent apon the elasticity of your skin. some people have good “stretchy” skin! some people just dont! good luck!
*shrug* you can go ahead and rub in a tub per day. It’s not gonna matter. Did your mom get stretch marks? That’s the best way to know if you will or not.
Honestly people, if you didn’t get them, you wouldn’t have no matter what you did. If there was a scientifically proven ACTUAL way to prevent stretchmarks, the world would know about it. It would be a HUGE deal.
Everything else is just great advertising.
Genetics. The only true prevention.
use it now….& when ur just sitting there watching tv..it really works…i have 2 children & no stretch marks…thanks to cocoa butter lotion
ASAP You can never use to much it is a must throughout the entire pregnancy. Also Palmer’s is the best it has been a life saver for me.
right away but this is the kind i usally use so
i am 29 weeks and just bought some today for the first time. i don’t have any signs of stretch marks yet. pre-pregnancy i had a tiny flat hard stomach like you…i would start rubbing it as soon as your belly starts to poke out just to be on the safe side.
Start using it now every day, every time you get bored, and believe me when I say, DO NOT SCRATCH YOUR BELLY!!! It will become very itchy and you will want to use anything sharp to dig in, but I’m telling you, when you scratch your belly it intensifies the appearance of stretch marks and will make them deeper and wider. You can also try Creamy Baby Oil, it will keep your skin moisturized much longer than Cocoa butter, it also helps relieve the itchiness. Just make sure you use Creamy Baby Oil and not regular Baby oil, the oil will ruin your clothes!
Congrats on your baby!!!
use coo coo butter when u first notice them and threw ur hole pregnancy other wise they won’t go away
Burt’s Bees or Palmer’s belly cream. It’s sold at Walgreens, CVS, Target, Wal-Mart, etc…
Start applying it now.
i used cocoa butter but i still got massive ones!! i even used bio-oil afterwards and it didnt make any difference, i think if you are going to get them you wil, no matter how much moisturiser you use lol, good luck hunny xx
The moment I found out I was pregnant. It made my skin feel very soft, so why not?Fingers crossed, I still do not have any stretch marks. A lot is just genetics!
