What is meant with Cacao as an ingredient?

I have a number of recipes listing cacao as one of the ingredients, but what is cacao? I know they’re beans of coursee but what form does the recipe refer to? Its not cacao powder

Any ideas?

Cocoa Powder

Technically, Cacao refers to the tree, bean, pods whereas cocoa refers to the cocoa products but they have been used interchangeably in recipes (right or wrong)

yes - it is cocao powder. raw powder. in the baking section. its chocolete - duh… :)
