his appearances as government-agent remind me of elwood blues by the way he says so much in so less time w/o breathing nor breaks
It’s funny how the government runs everything, including chocolate. It’s funny that white chocolate has no chocolate butter it, then why the hell it’s call white “chocolate” then?
On the contrary, my boy! The only way to cure chocolate sickness is MORE CHOCOLATE!

You can do either. The microwave is faster and the stovetop is more old school
30 seconds, stirs, then back in…There is the stirring.
In a previous episode on chocolate he said not to heat chocolate in the microwave! b/c you can’t stir it! Make up your mind AB!
hey pibeagles its funny how you think ganache means “fool” speaking of fools where did YOU get the idea that ganache means fool? some french words for fool are bluffer or duper. so its not Alton Brown that needs a new translator, you just need to do more research before you post stupid comments.
According to Merriam-Webster, ganache, in French, literally means “jowl,” from Italian ganascia, modification of Greek gnathos, meaning jaw.
actually “ganache” means “fool” in french, not jowl.
it still makes no sense, but he needs a new translator.
Hahaha love the Iron Chef ref.
I beg to differ.
I remember one Halloween as a kid, I ate so much chocolate I was sick the whole next day. I think I had too much chocolate =P
i love love love AB!!!!!
Alton reminds me a lot of my high school history teacher….same personality and quirks….funny but scary at the same time…..
^_^ You can never have too much chocolate!
If you make his ganache, I highly recommend whipping it into a frosting and using it to frost his chiffon cupcakes. Makes a killer combination, in my opinion.
There is a type of chemical in cocoa beans, similar to caffeine, that can cause a toxic reaction in dogs, high toxicity could even cause a hypertensive crisis (Extremely high blood pressure). Though… truth is that lower amounts of cocoa solids means lower doses of poison. White chocolate is harmless, it has no cocoa solids. You should be worried if the dog eats a box of cocoa powder, but don’t panic just because he swiped your fun-size Baby Ruth.
10 lb bars of chocolate like that featured in this episode of GE can often be found year round at Trader Joe’s.
no, read the lower comments, it will explain why it won’t
Giving chocolate to a dog? Wont that kill it!? o.O
