Can’t say enough good things about this Cocoa. Have used it in cakes, breads, chilies – deep, dark, delicious. When it arrived I though a pound was a ridiculous amount to own. Now I find myself looking for excuses to cook with it and about to order another.

I have used many organic cocoa powder products and have found “Frontier” the best value of all. The powder is very fine and mixes easily in my smoothies. The price is fantastic for organic AND fair trade. The Cocoa is tasty, ethically marketed, and reasonably priced: a great buy.

This is the first time I’ve purchased “Dutch process” cocoa, and I have to say, it is delicious! It is rich and mild, lacking the bitterness of regular cocoa powders. I bought it with no particular purpose in mind (I don’t bake), just looking for ways to add more cocoa into my diet to get that great chocolate taste as well as the healthy antioxidants it provides. I’ve been enjoying experimenting mainly with adding it to hot beverages such as coffee or coffee substitutes. Often I don’t even bother to sweeten these beverages – the mild flavor of this cocoa allows me to enjoy its natural chocolate flavor unsweetened. I even added a big spoonful to my oatmeal recently, along with everything else I normally add, and that was a treat! I’m looking forward to finding more ways to work it into my diet.

Thanks to the other fine reviews, I opted to try this cocoa powder. It is delightful. While I really like the idea of fair trade certified, without the superior taste and texture it would mean little. Fortunately, it’s not necessary to sacrifice quality when purchasing this 16 ounce bag of cocoa powder. Not only is it organic but it’s delicious. The texture is fine/smooth, the fragrance is everything you would expect (maybe a bit more!) and the flavor is superb….all for a price you can’t pass up. Unlike other varieties of powdered cocoa, this does NOT seem to have vanilla included which makes it a bit more versatile for some recipes.

If you like the true flavor of Chocolate (a bit bitter) this is the right mix. If you need it sweeter, add some sugar (OR better yet a healthy sugar substitute, like Xylitol) to make a great drink. I mix it with some instant coffee for a pick-me-up. One teaspoon does a full cup.
