Chewy Oatmeal Cookies (ohcurt Cookies)

1 cup butter, softened 1 cup white sugar 1 cup packed brown sugar 2 eggs 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 2 cups all-purpose flour 1 teaspoon baking soda 1 teaspoon salt 1 ½ teaspoons ground cinnamon 3 cups quick cooking oats raisins, chocolate chips or nuts (optional) 1. In a medium bowl, cream together white sugar, butter, and brown sugar. Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla. 2. Combine flour, cinnamon, baking soda,oats,and salt. Stir into the creamed mixture. If you are using nuts or raisins, mix into dough, combining well. Cover, and chill dough for at least one hour. 3. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). i made this recepie my family loved it. but it wasnt as soft as i thought it was going to be. BUT IT WAS REALLY GOOD

Kitchen Aid… hands down the best. I’ve had mine for 15 yrs and would never ever buy another brand again. My hand mixer is also a kitchen aid.
Diana if you had a choice to get a free mixer which would it be KitchenAid ( The best lol) , a cuisinart stand mixer, or a Sun Beam Mix master lol?

I don’t think so. This was a recipe from an excellent cook book, and it should be a reliable recipe.
whoa. 1.5 sticks? shouldn’t you use two? maybe that’s what’ve caused them to turn out dry.
i just made ur cookies and they taste like heaven with a glass of milk. i wanted to make them a little better so i cut the recipe in half and i used 3/4 cup of white flour and than 1/4 cup of whole wheat flour. next time i think ill use both
